I know no one has these yet but do you guys realy think they are going to sound that much better than last years?
Will this hdmi 1.4 bring better audio with the feedback option?
Do you think its just another christmas day for manufacturers to release the same old s**t with a 1.4 hdmi port

No new codecs with HDMI 1.4 so nothing will change just a few additional add ons. See here.

+1, the new format does NOT affect HD-sound encoding....but provides for other interactive features from the internet, possible 3D, etc.

I thought the 'feedback' thing as you put it was just the ability of the TV to send an audio signal back to the AVR so that if you use the TV's tuner, you can still listen to the audio on the AVR still using only the hdmi connection.
