I have seen them in person. The grills are torn, the speaker wire hookups on one of the speakers is a drywall screw. Paint on the cabs too. One of the tweeters is an rdo, the rest are silver coils. The good news is that all of that is easily fixable as the grill cloth is just stapled on. (I checked). There is no cable either.

They are probably a 2.5 on the Audiogon scale. Still worth 850 based on what they sell for online.

I just picked up a pair of SDA 2 studios tonight that are in really nice shape.

If I had the 850 and a larger house, I would have bought them on the spot.

I offered my Sony SS-m7's, Jbl L80t's, and Vmps Mini tower IIa's for them, but they said no. (One of us was nuts to make or not take that offer)!

I did pick up a nice pair of Monitor 11t's at that same shop that I sold, then regretted later selling to another club member.

No problem. I stop in that store all of the time, its near my house. If someone wants more input I am friendly with them and can get more info if you need some.

I live close by as well , I'm gonna have to swing by and check them out. It would be cool to have a pair around.
