Anyone got a link about anyone upgrading the crossovers in their blade/blade CRS+s?

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I meant of someone doing it, and posting maybe their steps with pictures, just so I'd have a more visual reference. I understand those guides are great, for the technical pov, but I'd love a more people friendly and social option

Yep, use the search options but get a dialog going with Ben, he'll help you out big time.

Yeah, I've used the search bar prodigiously. Mighty aggressive posts for no reason, when all I'm asking for is more information on top of what Ben has already given. Take the sarcasm and cynicism elsewhere, I'm just looking for helpful suggestions, not useless jabs.

    Hello ChrisD,
I've read through this thread a couple of times, and to be honest with you, I can't see where anybody is being sarcastic or cynical. But, one of the problems with communicating in writing is that not everyone gets the same meaning out of the same combination of words.
Are you wanting to know if there is a link, outside of the Forum, that shows a step-by-step set of instructions on how to modify your specific speaker?
    Best regards, Ken

I ordered mine directly from Polk by calling Customer Service & Tech Support: polkcs@polkaudio.com 1-800-377-POLK (7655) 9AM-5:30PM EST Mon-Fri

I believe someone made mine custom using belden cable and attaching the appropriate ends. It cost around 65 dollars (a little high but I didn't have to spend the time to make it) and worked wonderfully.

Yeah, I didn't get much sleep last night. Ignore/close this thread, I don't know where I'm getting at.

Chris, you can look at several of the modification threads for other similar SDA's or vintage Monitors and get a feel for where to begin and the tips and pointers are similar. I'm not sure there is a step-by-step for the CRS+'s but there is a plethora of information that can be related to the X-over rebuild. Atleast with the CRS+'s, they are simpler and have less parts than the larger SDA's. They are basically the same x-over as the SDA 2B's so start looking for those threads.

Or if you have *specific* questions lots of knowledgable, helpful people here. If this is all new to you then just like any other project you need to get your learn on. You can;t expect to just read a post or two about the mods and expect you're going to be able to do it immediately.

    Just some friendly advice

No problem, Chris, everybody has off days. We can still be of help. Have you had a chance to look at the speaker's internal crossovers?

I think these would be "updated", not "upgraded". Just replace old components with new ones, but nothing like Sonicaps :)

Not sure if Polk is still doing this.

Edit: or maybe they had the original xovers in stock and he got a pair.

I think it's referring to an SDA interconnect cable, not a crossover.

Take it easy Bro, nobody is sniping at you. The forum is chock full of threads on this topic that's why I among others have recommended you check them out using the search function as well as getting a dialog with Ben.:)

I apologize for the randomness of my mood in this thread. I had been up for a while, and was getting cranky, so it came out on here.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions, I'll follow them. I'm actually pretty knowledgeable on doing this sorts of things, circuits and stuff, having required to work with them while I was attempting Electrical Engineering, before deciding to switch to an alternative major. I just like to see other peoples' work as it gives me a bit more of an anchor when doing similar projects.

Thanks again, people. Long live Polk!
