Now that I have my Musical Fidelity A5 int amp, I am putting my Carver M1.0-t amp up for sale.

This is a MKII restored-modified version from RichP:

Does this amp have a 12v trigger? And how do Carver amps compare to my b&k? Are they laid back or forward sounding.

    Nope - no trigger. I haven't heard B&K equipment so I can't do a valid comparison.

The Carver is a very neutral amp, imo. Crisp highs and with the mod - tighter and better controlled bass.

This amp is clean sounding w/ plenty of headroom - it keeps it sonic qualities consistent no matter the volume! Your ears will bleed before you tap this puppy out! :D

Payment sent! I'm anxious to see how it matches up to the TFM-55x. It sounds like another perfect match for SRS2s.

Congrats on the sale, but that really sucks too! I wasn't able to jump on here at all today until now to see your response. I kinda had a feeling it would be gone at such a good price.

Ha! Digging in the garage paid off!

I found the original Carver box for the M1.0-t, with serial # marked on the box, original manual, original pamphlet, and the new manual for the mkII mods from Rich.

All boxed up and ready to go out on Saturday.

That was a stunningly great price considering non-MkII's sell north of $300 on eBay with 25 year old caps all the time. I've had the pleasure of a direct comparison in my home between a factory Carver M500 and one of RichP's M500 MkII's and there is simply no competition. I have no reason to believe there would be any qualitative difference for the M1.0t.

Well...Club Polk has been good to me!

I got my money's worth over time out of the M1.0-t and I recouped my cost for the mkII upgrade...and the buyer is happy too!

I'm not into selling gear to make money but to stay even, if possible, so I can afford to enjoy this 'hobby' :D

I do hope the buyer enjoys the amp and shares his evaluation with us all here.
