    Wow. Very interesting pic.

FYI, a single woofer I exchanged out of a PB12-NSD/2 weighed about 19lbs IIRC.

I can now see why they "only" make the Ultra13 with a single driver...
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Do you think that 13U driver would fit in a plus/2 cabinet? I'd be willing to modify the enclosure a tad to get the driver in there. Think it would work ?

The driver properties probably don't match the enclosure. If the enclosure volume and port volume don't match the driver it will not be tuned to the right frequency response.

I can't imagine what that would sound like. My plus/2 puts out so much bass already!

Naturally. I understand what your saying. My post was to also paint a vivid picture of a sub enclosure with dual 13U drivers and say a 1k plate amp, given everything else worked properly. I wish SVS would make such a sub, WOW factor there for sure.

That must sound horrible, my MicroPro 3000 is deep, articulate, and loud - and doesn't rattle anything. ;)

The reviews like this are one of the main reasons that a Polk MicroPro sub will likely be my next sub upgrade. I'd eventually like to have a stereo pair of either MP2000's or MP3000's.

I don't like subs that rattle everything else in the room.;) That's how my current sub acts though unfortunately.

The PB12-Ultra/2 is still the baddest.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    No.

The only upgrade for that subwoofer is room correction.

    Certainly the heaviest!

If I could've sold mine when you were offering yours, it would not be yours today...

    Just sayin' ;)

Precisely, I would love to demo one of those in my own room. The Epik Conquest was a beast, but they would not ship me one when I inquired to purchase. I've heard some say it never hurts to have to much bass, but I've ran my dual Plus 2's so hot once that it was indeed painful.
