...to our significant others, family, friends.

Those who tolerate our obsession over hobbies they will never understand. The ones who listen to us ramble about specs on this, the history of that, one thing vs. another. We know they don't give a rip, and they know we're going to blab about it anyway, so they just listen (or pretend to). Bless their souls.

My wife just sat patiently (not her style) with me at a Goodwill for about 45 minutes while I sifted through junky old albums in the hopes that I would find a few gems. She didn't complain once. Well not about me at least. She was pretty irritated by the lady chewing and popping her gum obnoxiously loudly while she looked through the VHS movies. Her one comment to me was "honey, you sure do have a lot of hobbies". She's right, I do. And she probably thinks most of them are a waste of time (and maybe they are), but she knows they matter to me... so she puts up with them. For this, I am very thankful.

    Lucky You. Mine also understands and so I wait while she shops else where.
