Amp or receiver needed in Harrisburg, Pa. area

My daughter (in the Harrisburg, Pa. area) needs something to drive the speakers I gave her. Posting this in case any of you Polkies out there have an old unit collecting dust that you will part with on the cheap(talking less than $100 here). 2 ch or other, does not matter as long as it works. She just bought her first house and is broke(told her get used to that feeling!)...thanx!

    Please let me know what type of speakers that you gave her as far as impedance, effeciency?

    Would your daughter rather have an almost new 2 channel intergrated Pio Elie A35A or an old Yamaha AVR without the HDMI? Does she need a El cheapo Sony CD changer? Does she need a BR player?

    Hope that helps. I also have some cheaper equipment I would part with free of charge but there is no way I can get it to you from China since it's at home in the U.S. and no one is there. Hope things work out.

    Thanks for the offers! I won't know what she is doing until after this weekend...in her world horse shows are more important than audio and she's out of town playing with her four legged friends. The speakers are a very old pair of Cizek 3 way floor standers that I replaced the woofers in about 2 years ago. I don't remember the impedence though.
    Last time I spoke with her (Tuesday) she was looking at something local on craigslist. I'll be glad to give you an update and maybe take up one of the offers when she is back in town on Monday.

    Hi there, Thanks for the reply.

    Here are a few things yoour daughter may want to consider and they are all FREE with NO catch:

    1. A spotless 2 channel PIO Elie A 35R ( 40/50 WPC) or an Old Yamaha ARV with DTS but no HDMI and no new codesc.

    2. An old but in a great shape 5 disc changer Sony ( do not know where the remote is) . It can decode SACD.

    3. A newly bought Mirage Omni 150 ( awesome sound for a little speaker)

    4. A few Monster RCAs ( hated by audiophile but for casual listenning, they will do the job).

    5. If she has a HDTV, I can offer a el cheapo Toshiba BR player NIB.

    Here you have it. It's my offer to your daughter so please let her decide.

    My 2 sons are in college and they are well taken care by his old man so your daughter can have the stuff. There is no reason for a person being " audio"
    broke.
