Hey guys, I feel like I need to show my appreciation for the help Russ has given me; He's a great guy. When I first got my Monitor 10's, I was discouraged because it came with all of the drivers frozen but 1. Maybe 5 minutes after posting, Russ PM'ed me offering to sell me a whole new set of drivers, including Peerless tweets and xovers, for a very generous price. I gladly accepted, and when they arrived, two of the drivers were damaged (not Russ' fault- the box was superbly packed). I tried my best to fix one and installed it, along with the other good ones and had the Polk playing fine. Well, that driver crapped out on me today. I sent Russ a PM and he's offered to call Polk and have them send me a replacement tomorrow. He's also offered me advice on how to make the 10's sound better, offered advice on my audio journey and general, and extended help to me numerous times. I really appreciate that, especially in todays age where it seems most people are only out for themselves. That's what makes this forum so wonderful; there are so many people willing to help, so many people with good advice and useful knowledge. I just wanted to say thanks to Russ and all of Club Polk for making this such a positive experience, especially for us younger guys who are still learning. This is easily the most helpful and informative forum I've been on. Hopefully I will get to a point where I have learned enough and have enough to give as much back to the community as this community has given me. Thanks a lot Club Polk!

I agree if it weren't for the Lightman express a lot of 'us' would not be listening to our Vintage Polks at this point (of course I am not at the moment-but you know what I mean). To Russ..he may be missing a few marbles or not--science is still debating that. But he is a good guy nonetheless!

Russ is one of the nicest guys I have met, always willing to help a fellow Polkie. I met him at the Seattle mini meet, and have stayed in contact with him ever since. He is the first person I called when I bought my 10's, and he quickly helped me solve my tweeter problem, which turned out to be nothing more than a blown fuse. Saved me some cash and countless hours of my dumba$$ trying to figure out what it was, lol. Stand up guy that lightman, just don't tell I said so, lol. He is welcome in my bushes anytime. :D

Russ is a great guy. Still enjoying my monitor 7's thanks to a generous karma from him several years ago. Last time I saw him, he passed out in the kitchen floor not long after I left....I get the feeling it's habitual :)
