Your local Lowes or HD should have Moretite.

I found mine at Fred Meyer. Also most any store with a home maintenance section should have it.

Fred Meyers has it? I will be picking some up then. What was the price on it?

You're going to hit the floor when you hear the improvement. Do you have them spiked?

Not yet.I have those things you insert into the wood or mdf to screw the spikes into.(The larger Mye spikes) I have 4> 11.5 x 16.5 x 1 solid wood (ash) but changed my mind and plan to go with mdf. After I get my read on about exotic wood veneer and how to best do it, that will be my next project.I just have to find someone to cut it to spec and round off the front edges.I currently have the 2Bs sitting on ceramic tiles.

I think you are talking about 'T' nuts. PM Jesse (F1nut) he'll get you straight on how to get them inserted properly. Great choice on the MYE Sound spikes, they are the best in the business. Wait till you hear how they transform the bass.

Has anyone used any of the liquid sound deadeners instead of the mat in/on their speakers?

There are a couple of theads where someone used some kind of spray deadening material in lieu of Dynamat. The name of the product eludes me right now but if you do a search on Dynamat throughout the forum it may show up in one of those threads.

I wouldn't worry too much about using the actual Mortite brand. Rope caulk is rope caulk. It's all the same stuff.

I did the "Mortite" mod to my 2A's a while back, using a random brand of rope caulk that I found at Ace Hardware...and I'm absolutely floored with the improvements that it's made. I think the rope caulk cost me about $2.50 or so. They'll have it at any hardware store/home improvement store...and probably even Walmart. Don't spend the extra on shipping.

I can't imagine the actual Mortite brand making any difference. It's the exact same stuff.

You should be able to get the Dynamat at any local place that does car audio installations.

Do you mean on the driver baskets or the interior walls of the cabinet?
