I ordered a new plate amp from PartsExpress Sunday night. Should have taken 2 days to get here to northeast OH from southeast OH. When I ordered My sub and my speaker spikes from them at separate times it only took the 2 days both times previously, straight from there to here in my area. I find out this time it won't be here until Saturday, they decided they were gonna send it the long way around through Pennsylvania this time:confused: Ok I understand I didn't pay for shipping but I didn't the previous time either. WTF were they thinking? I think somebody needs a map of the USA:rolleyes: Oh well my fiance is sick and can't fire up the sub until she feels better anyways, or I would have probably called and freaked out on them:p Well I guess it could be worse and have my package run over by a heard of elephants like when UPS delivers my stuff:eek: Ok I'm done ranting, I have gotten my venting and bitching out of the way:D

Yeah. When I lived in Dayton, I tracked a package that went to a center in the Dayton area, then out of state, then back to Dayton to me. It can be frustrating at times.

Good luck with your shipping, and hope your other half is feeling better soon.

No wonder shipping costs are so high sometimes...they Probably could have just walked it to your house the rest of the way and taken less time lol. And thank you, she's taking a nap:p, didn't sleep too well last night.

When It Absolutely, Positively Has To Be There...

Ahh, it's audio gear... A couple months ago, I tracked some speakers I ordered and watched them go "out for delivery" two days in a row and return to the local hub both nights... Go figure. Third time was a charm. Good thing it wasn't my heart meds. ;)

I cringe every time I get something that's being shipped Fedex (never my choice). I'm convinced they're going to do something to hose it up, not to mention I always have to sign for it, which in itself is a huge PITA.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

There is no reason for them to pass off to the USPO....are you using Ground or Express service for FedEx?

It's funny how impatient I have become now that I can track everything, but it's been sitting there for a day 'waiting for destination scan' my a55! The shortest distance is not always the cheapest method, software somewhere decides how best to pack the plane or truck to get the most from the least! I take a deep breath and step away from the tracking site.

IMHO, Fedex is getting very sloppy. 'recently bought from a vendor to be shipped from them to my home address a HT stand arraignment via Fed Ex. It did not arrive at my home. Instead, they left it several houses away on another street.

Once I figured out where the package was left (with much personal searching), I knocked on the door of said residence to claim what was mine. ('didn't want them to think I was stealing something). The person answering the door did not know that a package had been dropped off. Things turned out OK, but if I had not searched for the delivered Fed Ex package, I would not have gotten it.

Yeah I have been down to Dayton before, I have just been working a lot and didn't have time to drive down. And I didn't know that Fedex is now out sourcing their routing duties to a bunch of chimps from the zoo:rolleyes:. If I ever need something from PE again I will make time to drive down.

What a lot of folks don't understand is that when you have something shipped to your home via FedEx Ground, it's delivered by FedEx Home. FedEx Home delivery guys are contractors, not actual FedEx employees and that is where most of the problems occur as most of those contractors don't give a damn. Prior to FedEx Ground contracting out the residential delivery jobs, they were the absolute best.

What he's going through is normal for PartsExpress's free shipping.

There's no such thing as free shipping - it's just included in the price.
I have always assumed that it was out of the seller's control once it was in the shipper's hands.

I've ordered some things from Audio Advisor in Michigan and was surprised how quickly it got here in Ohio - the next day or 2 days at most via Fed Ex. It was not free shipping however.

That's what happens when you get free shipping.

It seems **** backwards, but believe it or not, that FedEx truck probably has some other stuff, aside from your plate amp, to deliver. So, they've gotta go in the other direction first.

If you want faster shipping...you've gotta pay for it.

FWIW, I HATE FedEx, and never use it to ship anything. I use either UPS or USPS depending on the size of the package.

FedEx is still much better than UPS. At least FedEx deliver Saturdays. Like me here, this week I was out of town. I specifically called and told UPS to leave my package with the doorman, after the first delivery attempt. They didn't. And after the 2nd delivery attempt, I was unhappy and called and told them to leave my pacakge with the doorman again on the 3rd delivery attempt. They didn't.

Anyone here who lives in Queens, NY, can understand what a pain it is to go pick up packages in Maspeth, what seems to be the only storage location UPS have in Queens. It's impossible to go there by public transportation if you don't have a car. I live in Flushing and it'll literally take me hours to get there with combination of train, bus, and walk. That's not even considering the package is big and it was raining last night. And you know what's good? They don't even open on weekends. So I am forced to send the package back to the sender. They also charge for changing delivery options. Fkin degenerates run that business.

Well I finally got the amp. Like I said before, I have ordered from PE multiple times with free shipping and it has only taken 2 days to arrive at my back door. They didn't add the free shipping into the price as stated above and each time I ordered they even gave me coupons to use. I'm just so happy to finally have it although they did manage to bend one corner of the mounting plate:mad: Luckily it's just aluminum so I was able to easily bend it back into shape. My fiance isn't sick any more so I got to fire the sub up. Holy @%#%!!! What a world of difference with this amp. I'm a happy camper even tho I had to wait:D

Well thats good, kind of figured that one would work. I was going to build one with a Dayton 240 watt amp I have and a 18" Dayton but they're out of then until next month and I'm sure the urge will pass by then.
