My new toy, TEAC tn-400s turntable, not too expensive at $399.
Listening to old vinyls that my sister and parents bought from the 70's(free).
Listening to new remastered stuff from Analogue Productions/Quality Record Pressings(expensive but pretty nice sound).
My recent Norah jones find, quite a gem, her 2 songs on this vinyl album-Afro Blue!!

I am in my mid 60's, and I myself dove back into vinyl about a year ago. I can't get enough of it, and avoid my cd's as much as I can.
Enjoy it.2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.
Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

I used the Teac TN300 for a few years, eventually upgraded the cart. Was a nice looking table that's for sure, and good bang for the buck as well. My first recommendation would be to ditch the stock phono section for an outboard one, that will really improve everything.2 channel:

yup, infinity kappa 7.1's, love the circular ribbon tweeters, had them since 1993.
not using a clamp. I've got a record center weight coming in the mail.
My first impressions, comparing vinyl sound to cd's/digital sound:
got to be open to accepting the little bit of background noise and the little pops and crackles, but
the midrange seems to be Richer in tone/harmonics (which I Really Love)
the vinyl doesn't quite have that upper treble range, maybe less accurate/true to life, but Less fatiguing on the ears, a "warmer" sound
not quite the dynamic range of cd or sacd
definitely More Engaged with the music, like driving a 6 speed manual vs an automatic, when everything's set up right and tweaked, you're more a part of the music, then just listening to it -
I'm using the phono preamp in the Music Hall integrated.
Updating the cartridge, will be my first mod, but I want to wait 6-12 months so I get a good feel of the baseline audiotechnica AT100E cartridge it already comes with.
Maybe an ortofon 2mblue or nagaoka mp110, I don't know yet. Right now I'm just spending money on records. -
A Denon 110 would be a nice improvement for not a lot of dollars.

Consider getting a Spinclean. It will help with the pops and clicks as well as static. Putting your records in MoFi inner sleeves after going through the Spinclean would help keep the static to a minimum compared to paper sleeves not to mention paper sleeves put slight scratches on your records.

I put an MP110 on the teac, it was a huge improvement. A much nicer cart than the AT100E.2 channel:

Get an RCM... you would be shocked to know how much crap hides I. Those grooves. This will,depending on setup, almost completely eliminate the background noise and most pops and clicks...The Gear... A record cleaning machine. A VPI 16.5 can be had at reasonable prices on the used market. I have an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner and it has fundamentally transformed my listening experience.The Gear... With the right setup you'll get more accurate sound across the board as well as better dynamics than digital. I wholeheartedly agree with the others, a rcm of some sort is a most! -

How often should one clean the lp? I'm talking wet wash as well as how many times do we use the brush? -
A good deep clean should be good for a very long time provided you handle your records with care and store them properly. I am looking into other methods to remove dust from them besides a brush. I am not a big fan of anything but the stylus coming in contact with the playing surface.The Gear...
