That busted tweeter will be hard to find a replacement for.

I had a set of monitor 50's like that and i was able to "finesse" the tweeter back out. I couldn't tell a difference between the two speakers but my ears might not be as good as others.

Seems like a great deal just for the subwoofer alone. The towers and center are like freebies.

I e-mailed him early yesterday afternoon. He said that he was listing them on eBay, because craigslist was just "too hard to deal with"

    HAHAHA...

More like he got 50 e-mails and then checked comparable solds on eBay rather than doing his homework first.

I replied that to make it even easier I would come pick it up now...no reply

I am picking them up tomorrow after work. He sent me a couple photos and they look to be in okay shape cosmetically. Really looking forward to hearing the sub, since the one I have is pretty tame.

Congrats on a great deal. The 600i's sound surprisingly good. I think you'll like them.

The 600i's do sound very good. My plan is/was to flip them and the CS2 (turned out to be a 2 not a CS1 as advertised) but am not completely sure I want them to sell. I expected them to sound just like the RT35i's I had, but they sound like they go lower and are a bit more open.

I have a buyer already for my old HK sub for $50 which the Velodyne is replacing. Beautiful condition on all the speakers I got yesterday.

Newegg has the Polk IHT Soundbar 6000 on sale for $279.95 SHIPPED.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=surroundbar+6000&N=-1&isNodeId=1

The price listed is $3xx, but that doesn't include the code they send you for $95 off for registering for their sight.
It's Newegg, so you really shouldn't be too worried about registering; it's Newegg.

Hehehe, you haven't been around for a couple days I take it. I will give you a quick rundown of the events of this weekend.

    1. That was supposed to be a small exclusive offer to a select few folks so there was no big announcement, just an email that went out to those select few
    2. The email was posted on AVS, got re-posted here, and a bunch of other sites
    3. Polk got 2k orders from what I have heard over the weekend
    4. This spawned some speculation threads about the potential demise of Polks, it being bought out, etc
    5. In response to #3 & #4
5A. They pulled the sale one day early and removed all threads on the sale here
5B. They have killed 4 threads at least inquiring about why the sale ended early on this site
