Up for sale is a used pioneer elite 94 Txh works flawlessly. Latest firmware flash almost excellent condition. I tried selling it on craigslist and boxed it up the guy backed out of the sale after he inspected the unit and broke the door trying to force it back into the box. The part is 40.00 from pioneer the hinge on the door is cracked. Tried to epoxy it back no luck. Anyway it has original box packing and everything as when it was new. Other Han that issue it is in great shape. Asking 250.00 plus shipping or local pickup here in houston. I will post pics soon.

Anyone willing to give input / speculate on whether or not this would be an upgrade over my current pio elite vsx-21txh avr? Could this drive my lsi's? Looking to simplify the rig........

The 94 is rated for 6 ohms. It does have a very good amp section and would be a upgrade over the 21 in terms of sound quality and overall power output. Running LSI's it would work but a external power amp is better suited for this job.
The 94 was the last run before the SC models hit the market. I always loved the 94.

The 94 is a very good unit and I believe it supports all the newer codecs along with passthrough on the HDMI. I had the 81 before I upgrade to the 32, but a used 94 was on my radar.

Too bad you can't actually enforce that rule on craigslist!

It's on the right hand side you can see the door hanging a little bit the other hinge supports the door when it is closed however so it only droops a little. The door itself isn't cracked just the hinge.

This unit does support all the latest codex it doesn't do 3d but if you have a dual hdmi bluray that doesn't matter. It also has analog out 7.1

One thing I noticed about this unit is there is not a detachable power cord. Mistake by Pioneer in my opinion but obviously not a deal breaker for me. Would there be any advantage to putting an IEC inlet on the back panel? I have done it before and it isnt a problem at all. Just like the cleaner look of having the detachable power cord. Leave well enough alone or do the IEC inlet?

Bizarro! Looking at the back of it I guess there wasn't much room back there for one :^ /
BTW, I halfway considered buying this and selling my VSX21TXH also :^ )

Thanks for the quick shipment Gabe. Appreciate all your help and communication. Deal with Gabe with confidence!

Have a quick question for you since some of you seem to know a lot about and install quite a few pioneer elite avr's. My problem is that there seems to be a handshaking issue. This i a known issue from what i can tell. I hooked it all up and the bluray setting would blink "not support" on the front panel. After some research i turned downd the video setting from auto to 10 bit deepcolor on my blu ray player. That fixed the issue but its bothering me that i cant "optimize" my picture. My question is wil this reduction be noticable and if so is there another work around to try? Thanks for any help you can offer man. I really appreciate it.
