The sr6500 are better than the sr5250 and are worth more
I paid alot for them twice what I would of paid for the sr5250, I just really want to hear the sr6500 :)

I'm glad you are convincing yourself of that. The 6500 is worth more because it is more desirable, but better? Perhaps, but not twice as good. I can't pass judgment since I haven't heard the 6500's, but I imagine it to boil down to each one having different strength's. A larger woofer will go lower and that's what most people want.

I personally haven't heard either but general I like how the 6-1/2 sound over 5-1/4 but that was before I got subs and on the sr im going on what people say and there reviews most of them like the sr6500 better and pay more for them around 600 while the sr5250 go for 250-300 in really good condition i

Looks like car audio for sale page is dead since my 2013 thread is still on page 1 :(
Anyways - if anyone is still alive here - I'll selling off another bunch of really great stuff next week is anyone is interested.

    POLK SR 6500
    POLK SR 5250
    POLK SR 1204 dvc
    POLK MOMO MMC6500
    ACR AUDIO 4.0

    POLK PA 1200.1
    POLK PA 500.4
    POLK PA 200.4

    2 Kenwood DD headunits

    Lots of different Polk grills
    Various sound deadening material
Lots and lots of wiring, distort blocks, connectors, etc.
    Some electrical tools
    Other stuff

Just gotta take a full day to lay everything out, take pictures, price it out and all that fun stuff.

Always wanted an SR1204, had to settle for the MM1240 as they JUST (I mean like a week before I got the money) discontinued the SR when I went Sub shopping.

    GLWTS

I agree the car stereo section is dead...makes me sad.

Car audio is dead in general. It's where I started, but unless you get a car with din-sized radios and not custom integrations, it's never really right.

I might be interested in something (no promises), as I'm entertaining the idea of doing a light upgrade (nothing extreme) to my new car.

    Thanks.
