I guess the grill covers keep little fingers from poking and prodding... What other purpose do they serve??? To keep dust off?

Does anyone leave grill covers off 24/7. What's your experience? Dust? Damage? Do you clean your woofers and tweeters if you leave the covers off??

If they are being played the grilles are on. When showing to someone, off. It seems to me most folks want to touch them when they are moving and just to keep myself out of federal prison I keep em covered when rockin out.
    Too much **** to list....

I will agree with the ON portion here. I listen to them on - looks a little more elegant. When people come over and I see them peering out of the corner of their eyes - they come off. lol

I guess I like my speakers like my women. They look better with no clothes on, but sometimes they have to wear the dress just because it's proper.

Since Totem Rainmakers don't come with grills I'll have to say off. You can order a grill set for them, but I don't like the looks of them.

once in a blue moon - off....with the lights out of course - they're a little modest:wink:....the glow of tubes, amps been running all day, all household appliances off and grilles off....makes for a 'smoking jacket' listening session:cool:

Always on until about a month ago when I took them all off and left it that way. The dog and cat leave them alone.

I make an exception for the JL woofer though... too expensive to risk damage by leaving the cover off.
