Your amp is old enough to more than likely benefit from a bench with all the correct gear and a qualified technician. There may be service bulletins that you are not aware of.1 · -

Yes there are many amps that the caps drain audible on power off. Adcom also comes to mind.2 · -

After the glue up, I would do all the seams with Power grab heavy duty and push into both panels. Not only will it help with sealing up for no air leaks, it will also bond all the panels together for…2 · -

These would be a much better choice for resistors. The resistor from Digikey is only 1/4 watt, you need 5 watt minimum. A 10 or 12 watt would be mucho mo'better, like these https://www.madisound…3 · -
