    Go Emo!!!

I'm waiting to read the reviews of the Emo CD player once it hits the market. If it's anything like the quality of their amps, Emo is gonna sell a ton of 'em. Only $399? That's insane.

I didn't read much of this thread, but it's funny because I was on the phone with Polk today (replacing my LSi25 crossovers!) and I told them about my problems, and asked for a recommendation on a more powerful amp than mine (385 WPC at 4 ohms I believe)... Surprisingly, they recommended Emotiva saying that they were given one of the RPA-2 two-channel amps to test out and were amazed. He added that Emos are stable at 1.5 ohms. XPA-1's might be next on my list of upgrades. I wonder what my 25's would sound like with 1,000WPC going to them O_O

I also wonder what my electric bill would look like....

Probably about the same. If they were class A, then it would be a different story.

Congrats! It really is amazing finding out what your speakers are truly capable of once they have all the power they need to operate to their full potential isn't it?

Just think of how good all of them would sound amped!:D:D:D

well i have been jamming, was looking forward to get home from work just to jam out. I do have one question why does it seem to sound better after a song or two? is this because the speakers are still in a break in period? they loosen up a bit? or is it just my imagination? Queensryche sounds killer.

All equipment sounds better warmed up, even solid state stuff. That's why as soon as I come home from work I turn all my stuff on, to start the warming process.

For tubes it makes a big difference, but there is no doubt your amp will sound better after it's been cooking for a while. Lots Polkies leave their stuff on all the time for that very reason.

Just hooked up my XPA-3 tonight. What a difference an amp makes. This is my first experience with an external amp and I'll never go back. I also thought my RTi10's sounded pretty good and never understood why people said they need lots of power to truly sound their best. I now understand. Add me to the growing list of happy EMO/Polk customers.

I'm leaning towards Audioquest Type 4 for my fronts, not sure about the rears yet, and some of Ben's IC's.

I was actually going to order some of the Audioquest Type 4 cables today, but the seller told me that they won't ship out for a week due to the chinese new year (he's in Honk Kong), so i'm going to wait and see if any other's pop up anywhere.

I went with Audioquest type 4 for my fronts, and did notice an improvement. I havent decided on the cables for the Amp/Receiver hookup yet, maybe monoprice, or bluejeans. How about you?

If it had SACD playback or a digital in, I'd be on the pre-order list, but since it has neither-I'm going to wait for the reviews.
