Watched in BD last night...very entertaining movie. Not a huge McAvoy or Jolie fan, but for over-the-top action and creativity, AQ/PQ and popcorn story, it's a real winner. Anybody notice, the rat guy was the star of Nightwatch and Daywatch, the Russian directors claim to fame.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I watched this last night too. It was ok.. the stoy line reminded me to much of the first Matrix movie though. Think about it... and you'll agree. ;) Angelina for petes sake eat some food. OMG did you see her arms? Nothing but skin and bones.

I thought McAvoy did a good job of acting, but of course Morgan Freeman is the real star of the movie. He just rocks on every role he plays.

Action scenes were pretty good in the movie... it was entertainment for sure... nothing really new or anything that makes you go wow.. except that long range rifle. Cool.

I have to say that I rented Wanted with pretty low expectations but was surprised.

Although it's definitely not great it's worth renting.

5.8/10 on my scale which makes it average entertainment. YMMV

I just finished watching it. I have to say I did enjoy it more than Shoot Em Up. At least this one had a reasonable storyline...

Looked nice in Hi-Def on my PC, too....

JMO, but, I think I'll skip this one. DB's comment rang true, just from the commercials. When the SFX are the only draw for a movie, might as well have Pixar make it. At least they haven't been as disappointing as the rest of Follywood.
I'm actually waiting for one of these MEGLOMANIAC's, to try and do a remake of 'Citizen Kane'

Finally got around to watching this. I won't say it was terrible, but it wasn't good. Yeah, the action was good. But some things bothered me....

I'm willing ot suspend disbelief for a movie. It's not a problem. I have no problem with the fact that in the world of this movie, people can curve bullets and flip cars over other cars and all the other awesome things they do. No problem.

What I have a problem with is internal inconsistencies. They make such a big deal about how these guys are basically perfect assassins, show NUMEROUS times them curving bullets around corners to shoot someone perfectly.... and then later in the movie there's an extended chase scene with constant shooting from these so-called amazing marksmen where they don't hit a damn thing? The big chase scene with the Viper and box truck (um, why have a Viper if it can't outrun a box truck, exactly?), it ends with the g uy, in mid-crash, shooting around a bridge and perfectly hitting both tires of the Viper. I'm fine with the fact that he's able to do that - that's the movie, no problem. But why did he just spend 10 minutes chasing them down and missing wildly? Why not use your skills at the beginning of the chase ?

I know you guys are gonna tell me it's just a movie and stop analyzing, but... sorry, that's the way I work. Like I said, if it was just the "we can defy physics" stuff, I"d be fine with it, it's when they establish a set of rules and then only use them when it's convenient, and completely ignore it when it makes for better crashes and booms.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

A little silly, but entertaining if you're bored. And I thought Angelina looked just fine.

Yeah, what he said. I enjoyed it. Made a good batch of popcorn in the Paragon, poured up a nice cup of my favorite beverage, reclined in the theater seat and enjoyed it on the 126" screen.

In other words good popcorn flick.

+1 million. I dvr'ed this on Cinemax and can't believe I forced myself to watch it till the end.

I had no intention of seeing this movie as I didn't like the trailer. Just didn't look good to me -- I didn't want to see a movie about people who could shoot anything in any circumstances. Little did I know it was a movie about people who could shoot anything only when it was convenient to push along the half-**** storyline.

And is there a script that Morgan Freeman ever says no to? Seriously, he has got to be trying for a world record or something.
