FxiA4??
I picked up a pair of these at a going out of business Tweeters for $120, so now need to figure out where to put them in my 7.1 setup. In my signature you can see what I had already.
So would the new FxiA4's be better used as rear or side surrounds?

Play around with placement and see what's sounds best.

I would say sell the fxi3's and keep the 4's and use the money to get some rti4's or 6's for the rears.
The fxi4's are surround speakers and are not really used for rears. This is why i say sell the 3's and get some rearsAudio:

Though they're a newer generation from what you have, they'll work great as rear surrounds mounted at the same height as the side surrounds (and provided your seating area isn't backed up to your rear wall, or the rear wall isn't really far behind the seating area).-Eric
