LSi7 vs RTiA3 - one set must go

Well - I've been spending more and more time with two sets of speakers in my HT/Music rig and one set has got to go.... no such thing as polyamory here....gotta choose one...can't afford to keep both.

As much as others might be surprised - I'm keeping the RTiA3s.

Given my typical listening habits for music (volume, mixes, sonic preferences) and for HT - the RTiA3s work better for me.

While the LSi7s are a sonically solid speaker - they just don't have the upper details and crispness that I prefer - and my wallet is not limitless - so further funding for LSi7 xover mods aren't in the cards for me.

Soooo....I'll be putting up the LSi7s in the classifieds.

First shots will go fellow Polkies at a very fair price.

    This is really good to know.

    I have Lsi9s for my 2 channel and love them for that. But as you may have noticed in one of my threads in which you posted, I'm now looking to build a separate home theater system and have been leaning heavily toward the Rti A line (specifically, RTi A5s for fronts and RTi A1s for rears), though in the back of my mind I always had a lingering doubt about whether I should go for Lsi line. Budget a is a concern as I don't really have the funds to throw at building up a separate Lsi system. Its really nice to know that you put them to the test and that the RtiA line really held their own and then some.

    I'll be heading back to Virginia for the holidays and plan to stop by the Crutchfield retail stores in Charlottesville and Harrisonburg, where I can listen once again to Rti A speakers. Last year I heard the Rti A3s, I believe, and liked them a lot, but this year I'd like to hear some of the floorstanding models as well.

    I have a pair of Rti8's that are taking up too much space for a new wide 2.35:1 screen I have coming.
    I'm looking for some kind of Rti6-A3's and a Csi5 to trade for someone looking to go from bookshelves to towers.
    I need to go from Towers to Booksheklves.
    Mine are Black, and like new still. only used them for some movies 18 mos old.
