I guess it's about time. I bought the TV back in Jan of 04 & the bulb just now crapped out right in the middle of the game!!!. Where do you recommend I pick a new one up at. The model# of the TV is KF-50WE610 & the bulb# is XL-2100U. Thanks.

Do you mean rear projection bulb? I do not think LCD's have bulbs.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

It's a Sony LCD projection TV. Being from 04' I'm pretty sure it's a rear projection. It's no where as slim as the new LCD TV's. -
Amazon for 165.00, I also had the same tv but in the 60 inch version. Nice screen and it is rear projection LCD. Check out amazon though.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

I have a similar Sony LCD 50" TV. Approximately how many hours did you put on the bulb before it blew?HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

according to my calculations...an easy 4,500 to 5,000hrs, & probably longer. We watch a lot of TV. Maybe I just got lucky. -

OK, thanks. We watch about 1,000 hours per year, so hopefully we've got two more years before we need a new one. My wife wants a new TV anyway, so maybe when the bulb blows, it'll give us an excuse to upgrade.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I already tried that one!!. No luck at my house though, the wifes logic...$140 is a lot better than a couple grand. Damn she's too smart for me. -
