Mission MS-50 Shelf Speakers

Just testing the water, seeing if anyone is interested in a small pair of Mission Bookshelf speakers model MS-50. They are actually sold with the Denon DM-30S Mini System.

As new (less than 10hrs use) in box. Maple finish, 2-way front ported design with a 4" midbass and 1" silk dome. Gold binding posts. 50 watt continuous power handling, 6 ohm.

Simply outstanding small speaker. Even with the small size, they produce a very 'big' sound. You won't believe the sound, they are truely amazing for their price and size, and I will say for MOST, you won't need a sub.

I had them setup in the guest room rig on a Luxman R-113 and ADC 16/2 with MIT cables throughout, however, that rig is getting an overhaul, so here they are.

I'll take some more pics if needed.

Great chance to get a good set of Mission speakers, not usually found (without the Mini-system). They would work well as rears in HT, 2ch office rig, bedroom rig, pc rig, etc.

Looking to get what I paid, $55, $10 shipping (ups insured). Negotiable of course, audio-related trades considered also.

Cheers,
Rooster

I may be interested Russman, I need to get some more data on my Audigy sound card first.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Mx,

I don't own RT25i's, but I actually like their sound better than the RTi15's I have, if that says anything. Dear old mother-in-law gave me the 15's for xmas last year, so I need to hang onto them for a little while longer... ;)

    D,

Just say the word brotha, if you don't totally dig em, send em back. I was going to post on ebay tonight, but take a couple days, see if you can't find em at a local hi-fi mart and give em a whirl.

    Cheers,

Russman - Thank you for the offer. I am sure they will be just fine. I have a question, do you know the mission website? I should pick these up just on principle alone. I would like to put these in the bedroom, but if I go HT there, is there a center channel surround etc that is the same series?

Matching center FROM Mission, I have no idea. I doubt it, but that doesn't mean you cant get close.

Hell I just listed a B&W CC3 on ebay, it matches fairly well.

That may be a little more than you want to spend, if so, I'd look at a CSi20.

I am not going to worry about the HT issue, now that I think about it, fook it. I have an extra sub that would help the bottom end on them...........perhaps living room speakers. Yea man gimme a couple days, but it looks good.

Oh ya, Mission Canada is the only one who distributes them anymore. I found all the information that I needed.

Russman - Received the speakers today, arrived and packaged perfectly. They looked like they came straight from Mission! ;)

Hooked them up and you were right they sound pretty damn good for their size. I actually am quite impressed at the sound quality. I have an extra sub, so I will wire them accordingly, and use them in another room.

100% happy, thank you so much for your candor and the speakers. Hope to see you in the forum, :D

Glad to hear they impress you as much as they did me, and that UPS was foiled again!

Perhaps we may all catch a glimpse of them in action in the showcase one day?

    Cheers,
    Russ

Russ - You are going to shite yourself when you see how sweet your speakers look in my abode! They have a secret subwoofer also, well secret until you walk up to it. lol

I will post some pics of the doroinstall later when I get a disposable camera. This audio bug has kept me from creeping into the 21st century of photography, thanks alot Russ! ;)
