I just ordered my Onkyo 806 from crutchfield ($999). Can't wait to fire up my HT for the first time. Now I know how some ppl feel when they talk about the anticipation of getting new gear. Now i must order sub to complete system.

eD A5-350 but started reading some forums where ppl were saying they were having some issues. Now i'm leaning to Epik Caliber, any thoughts.

I have it's predecessor, the A5-300(same amp, 12" woofer). I had a couple of amps croak on me, but they have a 5 year warrantee and a quick turnaround. Once you call, they usually have another one out that or the next day. They recently changed a few circuits increase reliability, we'll see how they pan out. Otherwise, you won't find a better bang for the buck out of a HT sub.

I agree, it is a great value for the $. The issue I read about was it went into "protective mode". Is this why they changed some circuits that you mentioned

Probably. I compared the old amp to my new one, it appears they used better quality capacitors this time around.
