I just picked up a pair of cerwin RE30s for my garage setup that
includes a Adcom GTP-500II and Adcom GFA-5300 with R50s.
Hooked up the RE30s and holy shoot these things ROCK i can't
believe the amount of volume mind blowing. It won't be long and
the fuzz will be at my door.
My other setup is a onkyo 805 with a adcom GFA-555 running a pair
of RTi10s and the garage blows it away.
WOW!

They are very efficient. I was dying for a pair back in the late 80's when I was into Metal.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

My first real setup was a Kenwood reciever with a pair of Cerwin Vega D-7's. It was an awesome college setup and were featured at many parties.....
There were alot of fond memories with that setup. Not much for critical listening, but they were fun to listen to.Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms) -
I still have a pair of AT-10s from the mid 80's. I had to refoam them last year. They went to college with me and are now pulling duty in the home gym. They were never a critical listening speaker, but if you wanted to get loud...they were the ticket. In fact, those speakers and a really strong old Yamaha amp were why the parties were at our place.
I don't know about that model, but the At-10s are fun to watch, pull the grill off and I swear the woofer looks like it is going to jump out of the cabinet. They were expensive though - $250 each in '85. Dad still gives me grief about working all summer just to buy that pair of speakers. -
I also have Cerwin Vega's, I have the D-5's with the 12" woofer, circa about 1990. When it comes to volume, they certainly can bring the pain (literally and figuratively). When it comes to aesthetics and critical listening... not so much.

Here's a pair of Cerwin Vega's that I bet a lot of people haven't seen. Model 2000-15's....mirror imaged, stock poly caps, rear slot port at the floor, beautiful real walnut veneer finish, etc. I picked these up yesterday locally along with a Soundcraftsmen A5002 amp (250wpc), DX4200 pre, and a T6002 tuner. Damn....this combo sounds phenomenal on the Klipschorns. Here's a couple of pics of the stuff. I still need to refoam the woofers as I'm really anxious to hear the CV's. They aren't the typical "style" that CV was known for...aka....big **** boxes. These remind me of SDA's in a way. Oh, and $2000 retail when new.

And the Soundcraftsmen stuff....nice.
Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.
