Wall mounts for RTiA3's
Any body have any suggestions as to what wall mounts would be good for the RTiA3's. I'm looking for something that will hold the weight of the speakers of course, and something that is adjustable so i can possibly tilt them downwards and side to side. I've been searching but i'm just not sure would would work well with these. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks:).

How much does each RTIA3 weigh?
Because of the tear drop shape - you probably won't be able to use 'clamp' type mounts - too bad -the B-Tech BT-77 is a slick mount.
You'll probably have to use a rear attached mount of some sort rated to support the A3 weight.
I used an Omnimount 20.0 configuration to mount my RTi4s to my ceiling by adapting the ball thread to the back of the power port with some oversized washers and extra nuts.
My RTi4s are angled down and turned towards the listening spot such that each speaker has one corner touching the back wall to alleviate some of the weight/stress off of the ball/clamp.
So far - very solid, very safe - no movement -everything still tight and snug.
Good luck,
Erik

Btech 77 found at crutchfield. I use these on both pair of my Rtis4 and have zero issues at all. Nice and tight and I dont find myself adjusting them all the time either. Worth a shot.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Same here - BT-77s for my RTI4s as fronts - great combo!
But the RTIA1/3 has the odd tear shaped cabinet - not sure the BT-77 would work right.

According to B-Tech's website, forget it. (I was looking at them too...) They're only supposed to work with speakers UP TO 13" deep, and the A3s are 14". Since the largest share of the weight is up front, that's kind of a deal-breaker. Damn... they were the perfect solution. And they're available for $10 less than Crutchfield at this online retailer (hope the Polk folks will let me refer): shop.polkaudio.com.
I'm thinking, because I LOVE to tinker, that I may fabricate a black metal plate to extend the bottom of the bracket "shelf" to extend it about 1" or 1 1/2", and use some soft rubber in the side brackets to accommodate the shape; I'll let you know if and when. I'm getting a little desperate, since I haven't found brackets nearly as nice and would be willing to put in some effort rather than end up with a piece of junk I can't stand. -
I emailed this company about mounts for the RTiA3's and they recommended these- http://www.standsandmounts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3159

Unless you need the speakers to point directly forward (and even if you do) you will be fine with the b-tech stand. Just brace the back so they cannot tilt forward and you will be fine.Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
