I want to upgrade my RM6600s. I have the 350 series subwoofer and plan to keep it if I can.

I need recomendations for upgrading - I would likely prefer speakers that could still be hung, but would have a lower range for a fuller sound.

Any ideas?

Tweeter has got the Focal SIB 5.1 system on sale for $900. I know that sounds like a lot for htib, but the bass that comes out of those little sat.'s is amazing.
BTW, it usually retails for $1,300.

Polk's RTiA1s can be hung, look nice, and would definitely provide a fuller sound.

I'm looking and wondering if it is worth it to do this...

Our real estate agent suggested I leave my speakers up and sell them with the house, but I looked and these will be expensive to replace.

They were $1,150 brand new and I would basically be giving them away with the house - grant it, I would be taking the sub and center speaker, but still.

Another option would be to put up some cheap speakers in their place.

Truth be told, I would much rather have a new AMP that takes advantage of the new DD+ etc that is on HD-DVDs and BluRay...

    Your thoughts?

How soon are you moving? If you are planning to move in the next couple of months, I would just leave the speakers and try to get some bump in the price when you sell your house because you are leaving them behind.

When you get to your new house, you can get the speakers that you want for the long haul based on your room size, budget, etc.

    JWhitakr,

I like that idea, but is anyone really going to say, "sure, I'll pay an extra grand if you keep the speaker system setup."? I guess I ask because I wouldn't do it.

I listened to some speakers today at Tweeter and must admit the rti (something like that) were nice, but really big to hang on a wall - my wife would say no way and likely even laugh that I even suggested it.

I'm beginning to think that I have a very nice system that is small enough to pass the wife-tolerate-it test, yest has a full enough sound to satisfy.

Compared to the other POLK speakers of similar size, I think I am doing well.
