With my daily Craigslist search of "Polk" I discovered these...

    For $50 you should already have them home. Nice find. There's a couple of RTA12 versions sitting on the Bay Area CL that aren't in nearly as nice a shape, that the sellers want $150-$275 for :).

    Thanks Dane! Not for the speaker tip-off, but for the consolation that I am not the only person that looks on craigslist everyday for new Polk deals.

    The guy sold them out from under me because I couldn't arrange a vehicle quickly enough.

    And by quickly enough, I mean within a few hours. DAMN!

    Ha! Yeah, it'll be some time before the Oppo goes anywhere. This setup has cost me a total of $220 (+ $40 once I pick up these 7's), and that's about all I have to throw at it right now.

    But while we're on the topic... you really think the Oppo is the weak link is this setup? I would think the receiver is next in line....

    So an update...
    Went to pick up the Monitor 7s today. They were in very good shape. Lookin around the guy's place, I see an Adcom 7500 sitting on a barstool. I ask him if it's for sale as well, and he reluctantly said yes.
    When it was all said and done, I left with a new 5-ch amp and some nice Polks for $250. :D
