Tube Preamp with Pass-Through?

i have a buddy with a Sunfire Grand Cinema preamp hooked to a Parasound 5 channel amp. I've got him hooked on tubes, but now have a new obstacle.

He wants to be able to still use his Sunfire for movies and such, but be able to use a 2 channel tube preamp for music, so I'm thinking an amp with pass-through would work. Run from the Sunfire to the tube preamp to the amp, and when the tube preamp is turned off or whatever the signal from the Sunfire is passed through to the amp.

That make sense, any suggestions for preamps with this capability?

Check out VTL. More specifically the TL2.5, nice neutral, and simple circuit

MLP has it, and I am pretty sure the Reference also has it.

    Battery Powered Preamps

    Continuously Running, Battery Powered Preamp

I believe this to be the first of it's kind in the world, at least the only one contained all in one chassis. I am very proud of this preamp and have been working on it for three years. In fact, this preamp is so good that I have discontinued the older preamp models. Check out some of the awesome features this preamp comes loaded with...

Fully self contained in 1 chassis
2 sets of batteries for continuous operation
Charges using a small plug-in charger
Uses any tube from the 6DJ8 family
    Cardas and Vampire copper RCA's
    Vampire CCC18 wiring
Sonicap and Sonicap Platinum output caps
    Hardwood and piano laquered finishes
Remote control volume with matching remote
Home theater bypass (unit does not have to be on to function)
Curly Maple or Rosewood wood chassis

This unit is $3,300, either finish.

Anthem pre-2l (se) has pass through and remote - good tube rolling ta boot. About $500 - $600 used

Might not have the sleekest most modern look but I'm happy. I'll be changing amps before this pre.
