PRICE: sold for 6 GIK 244 traps
Description:
This is a sale for 3 boxes of black GIK Acousitcs 244 Bass Traps. If you are not familiar these are 5.5in deep bass traps that do wonders for room acoustics. These perform much better at lower frequencies then foam could ever hope for, and also don't absorb to much high frequency info to deaden the sound.
If you are local this is a good way to save some $. These sell for $130/box of 2, and shipping is usually $30 per box. Two of the boxes have never been opened. One of them was opened and one of the panels was mounted.
Terms:
I am not shipping these as they would be cost prohibitive, nor do I have a vehicle that can transport them. We can discuss other payment types but I prefer cash. I will only sell to a buyer with verifiable good feedback. I have feedback here and on Audiogon.

Thanks guys, these things do work great. Bryan told me it would be to many but I insisted that I would use them for a 2nd rig that never materialized. Even after selling these 6 I will still have 8 244 panels, 6 Monster Bass Traps, and lots of Auralex 2in foam.
I also have 2 GIK D1 Diffusors in black that aren't being put to good use, I can let those go for an additional $100. Those have been mounted and I had to drill a few holes in each to get it to work. -
I've got 14 GIK panels in my room. They do work great, and don't look bad at all._________________________________________________

I think mine look amazing. My GF told me she loved them after I put them all up. They make the room look theateresque and very professional. Not to mention sound improves . . . wish you were closer man. -
Ricardo, how big of a room? I've got all mine in a 14x16 bedroom...so things are a little cramped.
Solid, I love the look, makes it feel like a real theater. Plus when people ask what they do all you have to do is clap to show them, never could do that with foam.
P.S. Still sitting in the basement boxed up and ready to go. -

Seems like a opportune time to bump, all this discussion of acoustics treatments and all

Ah, Gaara, NOW I UNDERSTAND why you recommended to me that I buy 6 bass traps! And what do you know, just so happens that I live in CT!
Do you ever make it down to Fairfield County area? I'd love to try them out, and maybe you could check out my room and give me some more advice...Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
I'm sneaky sneaky. The 4-6 number was because at that amount you should get a noticeable improvement while not being that bad on the WAF.
As for Fairfield, thats about 80 miles from where I live and 60 from work. The main issue is their size, each box is 2ftx4ftx1ft, which I doubt will fit in my car. -
Couldn't care less about WAF. This is MY ROOM! If you don't like it, GTFO!!! He he he.
Let me mull it over a bit, but I'll probably take them.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -

That looks like a bong in the bottom picture!

Ricardo, Looks phenomenal, I love the look of those dyns, always wanted to listen to a pair. They kinda look like my Rothschildes, then again the mid and tweeter are very similar to the dyns.
Neil, if they could fit in the car I could make the drive, a big if though. I'll know by tomorrow if I could fit em, don't have the energy tonight to try. -
Oh don't worry about it. I definitely want them, I just need to figure out how I'm going to explain the $$$ to the Mrs. But I'll come get them. You're not far from the new Cabelas, right? Been meaning to take a ride up there anyway.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I still think that looks like a bong in that picture:DGood music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
