A little help please. I wanted to get some opinions concerning my surrounds placement. I've gone to 6.1 and I'm contemplating putting my RT25's on the side walls and my CS245 directly behind my "sweet spot". The problem is that my room is an L shape and I would have to place the 25's about 3 feet in front of my seat. I would still have the 245 a few feet behind me, but would having these speakers (25's) foward greatly effect my "surround" sound? Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks- Greg

I can only offer my educated guess... :) I believe that it will be a bit odd, and the effect may be less surround like and more random. The sound may hit you at the wrong time or late is what I mean I guess. The room shape is a problem, but I am sure their is a couple solutions. Hmmmmmmmm..........
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I can adjust the time delays, but I was thinking the same thing: a loss of "surround" effects?

Without actually seeing the room, I can only visualize. Thought about mounting them in the far rear corners? Same wall as your rear surround? Perhaps aim them in a little bit or set them straight, see what works best. Not ideal, but should sound just fine.

I don't think the delays would help much. I kinda meant that you would be getting late reflections of the surround sound.
