Why are 2.3TL drivers different from 3.1tl and 1.2tl drivers? There is a chart in the thread "do sda 1-b's really have mw6509s" that shows all six of the 2.3TL drivers are 6510s. I was surprised to see that the 1.2tl and the 3.1tl use both the 6503s and 6511s. Does anyone know why polk did this? I expected the 2.3tl to share components with its tl brothers.

Polk used lots of different drivers in their SDA series. Cabinet volume, crossover design, driver Q and final sound quality all play into the choices made.

Sal, save your money. The 6509's will not mate well with your 1.2TL crossovers.
