Anyone out there have experience with Harman Kardon DPR 2005? A friend of a friend is selling one for $400. I would be using it for HT with a seperate 2-channel for my LSi-15 fronts.

Your friend is a little on the high side. BB has the HK 247 for a little more than that brand new in the box. IMHO I would pass on it.

Is your 2 channel completely separate from HT? I don't think digital path receivers have preouts.

I was hoping to use the hk as a preamp, will have to find out if it has pre outs. If not i'll stick with my old reliable Denon. He may be willing to drop the price a bit, i just wondered if it was a good unit worth having.

It does have pre-outs but like my previous post I would buy a HK 347 or 247.

I remember they had some issues with there digital receivers and his price is too high for a used unit.
