Toshiba A35

I just snagged the A35 (not the A3 or the A30) at Best Buy for $135 NIM. I had to drive all the way to the North Garland store here in Dallas to get it - they're sold out online and in most of their stores, but for any of you guys in the dallas area, the N Garland store now has 2 left.

$135 is an EXCELLENT deal for this player!

    Thats a great price! The A-30 was $130 shipped to me. Previous prices I saw were A3-299, A30-399, A35-499.
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

    Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

    nice snag.. that is the same price i paid for my A3 4 weeks ago. Grrrr! Ha ha ha.

    Wow, with all this interest in HD-DVD all of the sudden ... will there be a resurrection of the format :-)

    Nah, it's dead. Overall there's not really THAT much interest, just by those of us who know how we they upconvert or already have a HD DVD collection.

    Cool. I wonder how this stacks up against the XA1 I already have, or the XA2. Build quality doesn't look nearly as good as my XA1, but I think it probably loads faster, has better video processing / upscaling, etc.

    Might call N. Garland tomorrow to see what's up.

    I think the XA2 is generally considered to be the best player from Toshiba, not sure how the A35 stacks up against the XA1

    yeah, even with the 30 day price adjustments through amazon, the lowest i got my a-35 was $200. deepdiscountdvd has a grip of hd dvd's for $12.20 so be sure to stock up on 'paperweights' like i am.
