Id get a pair of ls-fx or fx 1000 for rear duty. These are dipole/bipole speakers which are better suited for rear surround sound.SRT For Life; SDA Forever!
The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once. -
Not sure about the match, but if you can get the RT55 for a decent price, I'd get them anyway. They are a great set of speakers.

It really depends on the setup and room. The 55's aren't too far off from the 90's, 2st gen vs 2nd gen trilam. I've found f/x speaker beneficial when installed on the side walls, direct radiating (like 55's) for rear wall.
Like the good man said above me, just get them if you can buy them right.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
thanks guys..they are a pretty good price....but my addiction is getting worse

have picked up 5 pairs of speakers in the last month..LOL... as I tell the wife "its too a deal to pass up" dont know how many more times I can use that one..guess I can always set em up in "her" room and tell her I got them for her..
is the tweeter in the RT 55 the same as the LS90?
Is a 1" Dynamic Balance Tri-laminate dome tweeter in the RT55
Thanks again all still kinda new to Polks..but have been extremely impressed so far with what I have heard...... -
I ran RT55's with the LS90 and CS350. you'll be fine

that set up served me well for almost 2 years. I spent a bunch on the LSi set up I have now and like it, but I wuold have been perectly fine with the old set up.

If you have the space for them (they are monstrous bookshelf/monitor speakers) and if they will be to the rear of your seating area, go for it if the price is right (like around $185 or less).
I think the RTxxx and RTxxxi series with the trilam tweeters (as well as the centers and FX speakers from those series) match well with the LS90s. My center and FX are from the RTxxxi family, and they match my 90s well.5.1 and 2.0 ch Basement Media Room: Outlaw 975/Emotiva DC-1/Rotel RB-1582 MKII/Rotel RB-1552/Audiosource Amp 3/Polk LS90, CS400i, FX500i/Outlaw X-12, LFM-1/JVD DLA-HD250/Da-Lite 100" HCCV/Sony ES BDP/Sonos Connect.
