Question about my TV and AV

I have the Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP.
I also have the Onkyo 605B AV with an HD-cable box, HD-DVD player, and soon a Blu-ray player.
When I plug the HDMI cable from the OUT on my receiver to the #3 HDMI spot on the TV (was told by mitsubishi tech to plug into that one) I get picture just fine. Now, when I turn the TV off then back on, I get static on the Ant1 channel. When I try using the Input button to switch, it won't let me.
If I switch the HDMI cable to Input 1 or 2 the picture comes back. Until i turn the TV off that is. Then I have to switch the input again..
Anyone have any ideas?
