I looking to buy a 3 channel 200 w per channel amp to power 2 polk audio RTI 12's towers and a CSI 5 center channel. I looking for suggestions. I am also wondering on members opinions on the D-SOINC ICE amps, and any other 3 channel amps. My budget is kinda low but would be willing to look at anything to just get ideas.

The Anthem MCA 30 is an excellent 3 channel amp.....built like a tank and sounds really good, but I think they run around $1500 new. If you can find a good used one, it would be well worth considering. It is 225wpc at 8 ohms and only wieghs about 45lbs, and it runs cool. I'm very happy with mine.

    I have a B&K Reference 3220 3 channel amp that powers my RTi10s and a
CSi5. It's 220 wpc at 8 ohms. I see them every now and then on Audiogon or Ebay for around $900.

Here's a link to a similar model listed on eBay right now. It's 200 wpc. I think he has the same one listed on Audiogon for a few dollars more.

You could also expand the search to 5ch amps and run your 12's bi-amped with it. Just an option as 5ch amps are easier to find.

I would agree that the 3 CH amps are harder to find than the 5CH. At one time I started looking for a 3Ch amp and was considering the Rotel RB993. Nice amp, 200 wpc, but hard to find. I ended up getting a 5CH amp for my HT and glad I did. Depending on your budget the Rotel may not be an option from a prioce perspective. Check out Audiogon for 3CH amps. Good luck.

Look at Outlaw Audio and their M2200 (200wpc). I got mine for 275 in "B" stock and they are terrific.

I'd recommend the D-Sonic or Outlaws anytime, I run a Magnum1000S to my 12s and outlaw monos to the center and rears. Setup sounds great and the D-Sonic is a beast.

I just picked up a Sherbourn 5/1500 from a local guy. He had 3 Marantz monoblocks. He said he wasn't looking to ship them I might be able to help with that. A friend of mine lives in Houston and I'll most likely visit him soon.

Since everyone is chimming in, I will throw in a recommendation for an Emotiva XPA-5. 5x200 @ 8ohms, 5x350 @ 4ohms. http://www.emotiva.com/ More info on it here. Looks like it will be a powerhouse amp, for just $799. There are several users on this forum (myself included) who are very happy with their Emotiva Amps.
