Whoa, is it the crash of the 1929? good grief, Warner pulling out of the HD-DVD consortium, big whoopy doo.

Having been through the SACD/DVD-A fiasco, I guess it is a matter of time before consumers got sick of having to pick side.

Hear my logic: Wouldn't it make sense (even more) now, to have a dual player (sort of HD Universal players)?

* I have a total of 2 BD and 14 HD-DVD, so either way, picking side has no value to me.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Unfortunately, WB has a lion's share of the movie market and this is a huge blow to HD-DVD going forward. Less incentive for companies to R&D a dual format player.

It makes sense, except the dual format players cost more than getting two seperate players.

it's a smack down for HD DVD for sure. I expect now that one of the bigger companies chose to go with Blu Ray, other's will follow.

YEah, this could be the beginning of the end for Toshiba's HD DVD

Dang it... and I was going to go out tomorrow and get a new HD DVD Player by Toshiba. UGH!

it ain't over until it's over. it may be close to over. but not yet. i will light some red candles tonight during my habitual vigil and sacrifice a young virgin (unopened blu-ray movie) to appease the hd dvd gods. maybe a plague shall descend upon warner for their treachery. (treachery = IMO) kidding. sort of. anyway.... it ain't over, yet.
