I am evaluating a pair of SDA2B's. A co-worker has offered them to me for 300.00. I am very impressed with the quality and sound being everywhere. This person said he only used them 5 of the 10 years he owned them and they are in very good condition. His wife wants them out of the house because they are too big. The audio dealer where he bought them said they have a retail resell value of 380.00 and origional full list of 1250.00. This person said he paid 800.00.

My question. What is the best and worst part about the SDA2B's? What to watch out for? Concerns? Priced right? Better ways to spend 300.00 on used speakers? Need to know. Thanks.

They are well worth $300 - buy them.
The tweets in this model are a bit sensitive - be careful.
Not a bad speaker at all - especially at this fair price.

Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean by tweets are sensitive? And how are you able to be carefull? Don't drive them to hard with too much treble? Someone also told me the crossover isn't as good as what a newer speaker would have because of advances in technology. Any truth to that or is it just bull?

An unused weapon, is a usless weapon!...:-)

If you don't want them, PLEASE lemme know, cause I do!!!:D

Buy them if you can, the tweets are just fine and they are protected by solid state overload devices, but it is always better not to overdrive any speaker.

Great deal if you get them.
