Monitor 7 question

First, sorry for the very remedial tone of this post.

I was given a pair of Monitor 7's (not sure what year) about four years ago. This evening, the right speaker's bass radiator suddenly died. No noise, just went still. The other drivers appear to be doing fine.

Since, judging from the archives, the radiators rarely break, is it likely something my local, non-expert repair shop can fix?

    The mid driver probably went bad. Try gently push in on the driver to see if it moves freely in and back out. If it is the mid driver then call polk and order a replacement, tell them your a forum member and get a nice discount.
