hey everyone, I hope you can help me on this. For my home theater setup, I was going to purchase a pair of the r50 to be my front 2 speakers for my setup, but yesterday a friend of mine told me he had a pair of the vintage s10's that he would sell to me for a great price. I think they're in good shape to. So, which would you recomend out of the two??

I never heard the S10s. My first pair of polks were S4s, and I really liked them. I still have them, I just don't have them hooked up any where. I am considering them in the living room as a Zone 2 set of speakers.

I used my S4s in a 2 channel set up and I would always grin with how good the sounded. By all accounts the R50s are good, but take a listen to the S10s. From what I recall they are an easy speaker to drive, so using an AVR would be fine.
