I am thinking of purchasing a PureAV PF60 Power center. Should I buy one? Is it any good? Is 500 CAD a good price?

:D

    I've heard good things about the Pure AV units. I would recommend comparing them to Panamax units prior to making a decision.

    Where can I buy Panamax? I'm getting the PureAV from a local dealer.

    You can look online at onecall.com, abt electronics, and other e-tailers. Usually lots of them on eBay, although you need to watch for legit dealers so the warranty is valid. I got mine via the Panamax online store which had some clearance deals that were very good.

    I use a pf 30 and am pleased with it, I can't tell any difference in the sound but it cleared up a little noise I had in my tv.

    I also feel more comfortable with this sort of protection for my gear than with a power strip.

    Pricing seems a little high;

    The short version of my opinion of the PV 60 is that it helped the video display. On audio;
    "Yin" it added a small dynamic bass punch to a non full range system.
    "Yang" it removed sense of recorded space,low bass,and flattened out 3d images.Large amplifiers plugged into it had resricted dynamics.
    At the prices posted here I would have kept it for its positive effect on video displays. I returned mine.

    I have the PF31...and I'm satisfied.

    I can't tell if it has improved my sound...but my picture for my plasma seems brighter and more detailed.

    That is weird on the audio side. I have plugged my Krell 250 watt amp, Butler 250 watt amp and a pair of Carver Solver 9T mono's at 575 watt each with no problem into my PF60. I noticed better video. No audio improvement that is very noticable, but nothing taken away either.
