Are there any musicians out there? If Im going to build a rig to record and mix, music... would the LSi9s be up to the task? Are they neutral enough?

Is there anything Polk that is up to the task???

Thanks

Not that I know of. The 9's are great speakers, and they are flat... but they aren't void of coloration.

As far as being studio monitors they are way too refined and directional, IMO.

Also, for the price of some 9's you can get some killer powered monitors. Any guitar center or store of that type should have some.

Fostex, Alesis, Yamaha, and so on.

    Don't forget Tannoy.

    Thanks for the advice... :)
I was hoping to find an really good excuse to the the 9s. Now I guess they are still on the "luxury" list.

I'd say buy em anyway and give it a try.I'm lovin Yamaha studio monitors.I listened to a pair and man they sounded so good with a Rolland Elelctric Piano.Alot of weight and tone.Powerfull and dynamic.
The price was under a grand.
