Adcom preamp question

I just added an Adcom preamp to my 2 channel system. Assuming I don't want to use the bypass outputs, how do I choose between normal and "not" normal. I read the whole thing about bandwidth and dc current, and didn't get it. I'm running it with a NAD amp. Thanks.

Lab is full full range from like 1hz to 100hz. Normal is for amps that don't have tremendous range. I had a GTP-500. Too harsh. Excellent bass slam though.

GFP 565 with 3 different main outputs. I'm using normal because, well, it is normal.

I did the same. It puts less stress on amps that are trying to reproduce inaudible frequencies.

'Of 3 line outputs the only difference between 2 of them is, one is direct coupled and one has a bypass capacitor while both are connected directly after the tone control defeat and highpass filter switches.
The 3rd is connected before these switches.'
I use 'Bypass' because it has sounded best to me. Every time I switch to each of the others to play with tone & loudness I feel the sound loses some drive which the added controls can't compensate for..
