Hi guys, I was wondering what the best way to transport by pickup truck would be for the Polk SDA 1C? The guy has the original boxes, but should I lay the speakers flat on their backs or should I lay the speakers on their sides? This will be a one hour drive.

Thanks,
Ron W

Put them on their backs; use a comforter or something else that's thick to isolate them a bit from bumps. Drive carefully...

"On their backs" has always worked for me. I also put a jumper wire between the + and - terminal on each speaker. A Polk dealer told me about this years ago. It's supposed to dampen motion of the speaker cones because any motion generates a small current in the loop. Can't say if it works but I've moved SDA's half way across the country with no problems. Congrats on the 1C's!
