why not the pci over the pc plus SVS subs

Let me know why or why not to get the pci series SVS sub over the more exspensive pc plus series... Just wondering

    You get:

    1) A more capable driver - the dB-12 by TC Sounds with about 3-4 dB more max output above 30 Hz, and about 5-6 dB more max output below 30 Hz. Both the ISD and the dB-12 have VERY low distortion, but the TC unit beats the ISD by a few percent here.

    2) A 525W amp with a variable phase control, and a 4 position SS filter.

    3) Almost twice the port area.

    4) Adjustable tuning points using the factory supplied port plugs.

    Assuming the same size enclosure, both lines have a very similar sonic signature, and that is no mistake on SVS' part. The PCi is a VERY capable sub, and can embarrass just about any other commercial sub anywhere near it's price range. But when you factor in the significantly higher output capability with even lower THD, the variable phase and SS filters, and adjustable tuning points, the PC+ is a home run bargain for only about $200 more.
