I'm not fishing the group for these...that's not what the post is intended for. I just always liked this pair of speakers and remember liking them quite well. They might be my next "quest" to find. You don't see them near as much as the 8T or 11T which kind of appeals to me.
There was a pair of 15TL's that just recently sold in "New England" for only $224! Man, it seems I always see stuff on the east coast but not in the south close enough! Maybe that's a good thing in a way. Otherwise, I would have more of a houseload of stuff than I already do!
Do any of you own these? What is your take on them? At 54" tall that makes them a full 10" taller than the SDA-1C's.

My bad Troy. You are correct at 43" tall so they are within 1" of the SDA-1C's. I was going off what the last pair went for on Ebay but the seller had them listed wrong at 54". Maybe that was the shipping BOX height! I didn't think that sounded right being that they have 4) 6.5", a tweeter and a 10" passive on the front panel.
Thanks for the heads up!Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner. -

I'll take a stab at this. When I became a born again Polkie one of the first models I wrapped my ears around was the RTA 12. I found them to have an airy and wide soundstage. Shortly thereafter some RTA 15tl's followed me home and I put them where the RTA 12's had been. What I noticed straight away was the 15tl's have a deep soundstage (as in depth) but a narrow sweet spot. After listening for awhile and moving them around I found sluggish bass that I couldn't get rid of. Rated at 90dB and 8 ohm compatible they do not sound as efficient to me as SDA's with similar drivers. They are currently used for late night music listening.
Texas Polk Gathering II rocked the house with 15tl's and the LS90. The consensus gives the edge to the LS90.
Decato modded his 15tl's with an excellent writeup.
Maybe some of the other active members with 15tl's will chime in. Until then hit search and also keep watch for LS90's.
