This will probably get me barred from the forum, but I thought I would post a pic of the media room (formerly known as rec room to those over 50). The 10Bs are on the far outside and that is a pitiful single 5 sitting on the floor..the rug...no spikes...this is a work in progress. In 5.1, there is to my blue collar ear, a very good sound. I am running all 4 speakers as fronts and the CRS+ fill in with detail and the 10Bs fill in with bass and a little more punch. Until someone sells my some higher end SDAs within driving distance...this might do it for now. Suggestions on the horrific looking center channel? I use PSB 300s for rears only until I get another pair of 5s. The limitation is the god awful TV stand I bought at a garage sale. Constructive criticism welcome.

    Hello Neil
Where is Wheatfield? I'm in Lee Summit and have been considering the sale of a pair of SDA 2B that I purchased right here on the forum.

On a side note, your space looks pretty inviting to me...

Stubby, my man! You need to split one of those beers with me. It took a few days, but I got things run pretty well for home theater on the cheap. The CRS+ are a perfect match in color and trim exposure to my 10Bs. I'm amazed my Yamaya 5240 HTR runs everything without blowing up. You will have to stop by Wheatfield one of these days. I did just pick up a carver int. amp off ebay. Hope it sounds good. Hbombtoo...Wheatfield is Shawnee. I have a law office in OP. Mike

I do employment law for employees mostly and osme local government law. Did one case against Sprint. No more. They're too ummm....cruel. I'm at a decision point on whether to stand pat with what I got for awhile, upgrade with M12s or some model of SDA. I want to start enjoying the sound again and obsessing less about the equipment. I've been on the forum for about 4-5 years and this is 3rd name since I always forget my registrations and have new email addresses. Mike

Good on ya Mike and with what you have in play there is a lot of enjoyment to be had.

I'm not as active here as in the past since I have been so busy with family stuff and trying to understand and adjust to the whole Sprint thing. I became an employee through acquisition and the culture is tough to understand.

I am heading to Johnneys Tavern now for a cold beer. I'll be the guy whimpering in the corner sucking his thumb after this week of chaos.:D

    Have a good weekend.

The problem with running speakers next to each other like that is cancellation. If you like the SDA's, run a sub with them for the bass punch.

Polkthug...hopefully you will share some Polk wisdom with me. And as for engtaz, one small step for man....well, you know the rest...it took me 24 yrs to move up from the 10Bs (except for the Monitors(brand) I have with one two channel)....I go in baby steps. But if you combine the 10Bs with the CRS, I must have at least a 2.3.4.1, eh? And seriously, thanks for the advice on the 5s for center. Even though I just have the one for now, it made a huge difference in HT sound quality. Mike
