Agreed it is a little high.

Would a harmon kardon hk 3480 do any good for the lsi 15's? Would using the HK only to power them totally degrade the true sound they can deliver?

I really do not have the money to dish out 1000 bucks for an amp

Welcome.....I think that this is a hi-jack however. I think you would be better off starting your own thread.

    Good Luck,

I would say under $900 used is a good deal. $750 or under is a very good deal. $1,000 you could find almost anytime and is average at best. (american price of course.)
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

Blue Book is currently around $720 US Dollars a pair used. A good starting point if you're negotiating or want to send an offer.

    Hey Phil,

Nothing zeroed in. Have a few on a list but nothing definitive. Afterall, don't most of us sell at some point :)

I do believe my electronics are at a level a lot higher than my speakers at this point. It is just that speakers can be very expensive and/or a lot of work. Won't happen for a little while yet.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,

New speaker selection is probally the most fun out of all the gear we purchase. When your ready to start the hunt have fun. I know what you're saying though, they can be expensive & eat up a big chunk of our budget. Why not plan a trip down to this neck of the woods & I'll introduce you to Stephen at Quest for Sound. You'll be in audio heaven.

    Cheers,

    Phil
