Hi, Im new to the forum and so this question may have been previously answered but I havent at least seen it.
For a 7.1 set up in a fairly small theater room specifically used as a theater room only, I am planning on the LSI series of speakers with a Subwoofer. I will be using floor standing front speakers but wall hanging speakers for the sorround and Back sorround speakers. I was wondering for the sorround speakers should I use all 4 LSI FX speakers or should the side speakers or possibly the back speakers be a different set and If so what would be recommended in the polk line. Thankyou for any suggestions and or opinions.

You can't go wrong by using the same back and surround speakers. However, if you have a "fairly small theater room," you may choose to set up a 5.1 system.

What is the size of your room?
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

    "God grooves with tubes."

Actually its not a large room but I dont have actual dimensions. This room was already set up for 7.1 and Im not setting it up for myself so I think they have their heart set on 7.1. I really appreciate the response though and I just needed a confirmation that using the same LSifx speakers for all sorrounds was the right way to go.
    Thanks so much
