clean line jr. by Vans Evers, Model 11

Vans Evers makes GREAT power conditioners, focusing on specific applications. The clean line jr. was designed specifically for digital components, cd players, d/a converters, jitter reducers, etc. This particular model was modified at the factory specifically for video use. While you can still use it with your cd player for great results - this is a must have for anyone who has invested serious coinage into the video section of your HT rig.

I would be suprised if you didn't notice an immediate difference in video, even if you are currently using another power conditioner. All else, you've isolated your rig even further, which is rarely a bad thing.

It has only 1 outlet, so use it directly inline with your plasma / hd. It does feature a simple 5 amp circuit breaker for surge protection. You can add a simple power strip to it, if you want to add your dvd player, and sat /cable receiver to it also.

This was Uncle Charlie's, hooked up to his Sony HD tv - all procedes are going directly to his wife, Marilyn. As new condition, retail is $275 - $OLD - univera takes it.

Cheers,
Russ

And just how good is VansEvers? You've got me thinking about this. How would it compare to Furman, Richard Grey and Blue Circle Audio?

Price was definitely right. Can't get hurt on this one. I wonder if **** will look rounder, fuller:cool:

AB, I'm thinking about another piece myself. I want to find this discontinued one: http://www.vansevers.com/model_85.html

Russ, let us know how these VE's stack up. I was getting ready to order a Panamax 5500 as a replacement for a faulty piece. I get it half price from Panamax themselves.

The cool thing about the Clean Line Jr. is Vans Evers recommends plugging it into another conditioner for even better results. The reviewer said that made over 1/2 times improvement on the already steller results. Sweet!

I've been a fan of Furman for many years, and continue to use them daily. I also like Tice Audio. No experience with Blue Circle.

It's kind of like cables guys, I'm not going to tell you what brand to buy, just buy something good. Follow?

I have a furman for my setup and I used to feel that I need some external amps for the front stage to make it a little more inteligable but it sounds so good now I do not have to spend the money because I am so content with the SQ

Seems that Tice Audio is out of business now. Are they the ones who had that stupid clock you were supposed to put in the room and it'd somehow improve SQ?!

I'll have to look more into Furman. They seem to be awful similar to Monster. Or maybe it's vice versa. I like what I see from Blue Circle, too, though.

Who cares. NHT is owned by Recoton. Lots of big biz is in bed together, Furman has been making line conditioners for the pro circuit, LONG before line conditioners became 'cool'.

    audiobliss,

Do you mean this stupid clock that you put in the room and it improves sound quality? The ultimate snake oil, put it anywhere in the room and it improves sound, no reason it does or what it does, it just does.

I love the other items from this seller, like audiophile duplex covers.

Yes, that's what I was referring to. I'm not sure that's the clock Tice Audio makes, but I just put two and two together and assumed. You know what they say about assumptions! :p

    Russman,

Never tried them, I tweak alot but will never try a tweak if I don't understand how it works. I could read 100 good reviews on it but if I don't get how it helps I don't bother.

What's the beef with Panamax? Are they now in the same class as Monster cable i.e. overrated/overpriced or are they just not esoteric enough or lack cool factor? Their stuff certainly isn't cheap in terms of price for anything one with good equipment would consider.
